Friday 12/09/2008 | National Indigenous Legal Conference (Times viewed: ) THE 2008 NATIONAL INDIGENOUS LEGAL CONFERENCE will bring together lawyers, judges, barristers, solicitors, policy makers, service providers, researchers, Community Elders and many other stakeholders.
In particular, the Conference will focus on topical issues such as Native Title, the Stolen Generations, Indigenous issues at the United Nations, and the Northern Territory Intervention.
This conference will be of particular interest and relevance to lawyers, law students, barristers, solicitors, judges, Indigenous community workers, Indigenous Community Elders, community legal centres, local government, Aboriginal legal services, land councils, native title representative bodies, academics and public servants.

The inaugural Indigenous Legal Ball will follow at the conclusion of the two day conference. The ball will be held in the prestigious Melbourne Town Hall.
